About Goodyear Auto Service

Goodyear Auto Service Centers are full-service tire and automotive repair stores wholly owned and operated by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

Located at 1815 Oregon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19145, Goodyear Auto Service operates as a tire shop serving Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as auto repair shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (215) 462-9509. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is goodyear.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

With 3.7 out of 5 on Google from 226 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for tire shops in Philadelphia. Recent reviews are the best guide.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My time and experience at GoodYear Auto Services was not bad at all. It was pretty good. I must admit that my advisor, Jorge Rios, was very hard working and professional. When I got there a little before 10 am, he had a lot going on but he still acknowledged me with respect and told me to give him a second. Overall, the work that was done to my vehicle was done properly and the service was really good due to Jorge. Shout out to him.

Although the wait for my oil change was longer than expected even with an appointment, the staff handled it professionally. Jorge especially stood out for his honesty, initiative, and for making things right without me even needing to complain. That level of customer service and honesty goes a long way, especially in the auto business. I’ll definitely be returning.

I went there to replace a front headlight bulb on the passenger side, but I asked them to change both bulbs so the brightness would match. They took care of me right away and replaced both bulbs quickly. The price was reasonable, and the front desk guy was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be returning for all my future car maintenance.

They didn't know how to remove my rim so I had to bring in my own lug nuts removal key. The lug nut in question requires a spline key, so not very unique. You can find it at AutoZone for $8. These are very common on rims and are not custom in any sense of the word. More importantly, they completely scratched my rim. I took accountability for the scratches on the perimeter of the rim as those are from curve scraping. The scratches everywhere else look like obvious mishandling of the rim when placing it on the wheel mounting machine. When I confronted the manager about this, he acknowledged that the scratches looked brand new. Given that this Goodyear didn't even have a common spline key to remove lug nuts, it's not hard to imagine they have difficulty in basic tire mounting. He told me he would call me back by noon tomorrow (27JUL2024) to discuss the next steps. I had to call him back to follow up the next day. Upon doing so, the manager changed the story to avoid having to fix the rim. The manager stated that his "receipt" showed that the rim already had scratches. I asked him to produce the receipt and I have yet to receive anything. I'm trying to give this team the benefit of
